Laurel County Adult Education and Literacy is an Official GED Testing facility. Testing is offered every Wednesday & the first Friday of each month.
Improve Your Reading Skills
We use a technology based program for adults. No matter the current reading level a person may have, we will work with you to reach your goals.
English Language Acquisition
Our English Language Acquisition (ELA) classes are offered for all levels and can help you improve your reading, writing, and conversation skills.
College Preparation
We can help you improve your college entrance test scores. Any required remedial classes can often be completed at our centers.
Distance Learning
If you have a home computer, you may be able to complete some of your GED coursework online. If you are interested in our Distance Learning program, ask your instructor for more information.
KESC
The Kentucky Employability Skills Certificate provides a certificate in soft skills for employers. Individuals learn skills including communicating effectively, conveying professionalism, promoting teamwork and collaboration, and thinking critically and solving problems.
KCRC
The Kentucky National Career Readiness Certificate (KY NCRC) is an assessment-based credential that gives employers and job seekers a portable and uniform measure of key workplace skills.
Career Navigator
Need help discovering your ideal career opportunities? Thinking about college or technical college? Need to improve your college entrance testing scores? Our College and Career Navigator is available to assist you with financial aid forms, applications, and scholarship info which may only be available to non-traditional students or GED recipients.
