Reading Skills and Comprehension

READ KY is a technology based program for adults. If you or someone you know wants to improve his/her reading skills, join READ KY. No matter what reading level a person may have, we will start at your level.

English as a Second Language

To improve your reading, writing, and conversation skills, join our English as a Second Language classes. These classes are offered for all levels at our main location at The Bennett Center. We can also help you prepare for the TOEFL test.

You can begin your Somerset Community College career at our centers. If you have a GED or high school diploma, ask your instructor about taking the Compass Test. If your scores are not as high as you want them to be, work with us to raise them. Any required remedial classes can often be completed at our centers.

Distance Learning

If you have a home computer, you may be able to complete some of your GED coursework online. Ask your instructor for details.

Career/College Coaching

We have interest and aptitude testis available to help you discover career opportunities for you.

Are you thinking about enrolling in a college or technical college? If you want to brush up on your math or English skills, use some of our ACT/SAT preparation materials, or improve your score on the COMPASS tests, we can help.

We also have a college counselor available to assist you with financial aid forms, college or technical school applications, and information on scholarships which may only be available to non-traditional students or GED recipients.
